Viva the kings and queens of the Georgian stage!2009-12-07 23:16
A true round-up has been organized against the artists enslaving the Russian hearts with their beautiful voices with a Caucasian accent. "Grey eminence" Levan Ramishvili is openly referring to the country's best singers as "agents", "traitors", "second-raters" and "prostitutes". His accusations were thrown against Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Soso Pavliashvili, Nani Bregvadze and the nonchalant star of men's magazines, a recently admitted member of The Public Chamber of Russia Tina Kandelaki.
The war swept over the Georgian society in August 2008, having torn it in bleeding halves. One of them, not very numerous, hates Russia for its own failure, for the loss of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and for the deadlock Georgia has found itself in. The second half regrets the broken relationship with Russia and does everything possible to maintain spiritual kinship with the Russian people until the Georgian government is changed.
There are mutual claims and open hunt between these two parts of the society.
Recently, one of the Georgian periodicals published an article containing harsh accusations addressed by non-governmental organization The Institute for Freedom against the pearls of the Georgian stage who allow themselves to act and live in Russia.
Director of the organization Levan Ramishvili stated that Tamara Gverdtsiteli and Soso Pavliashvili are untalented traitors working for the enemy only because no one else would ever listen to their singing.
"Are the singers that praise Russia and sing for the Russian army not Russia's agents? They must never be allowed to Georgia. Let them live in their beloved Russia, what do they want Georgia for? They are collaborationists who serve the enemy. When a traitor succeeds in his treason, whose success is it? This is not the success of my country and I do not care about their personal well-being", - underlined the man, whose own well-being directly depends upon the USA and Soros Foundation's sponsorship of the Institute.
Before that, accusations of betrayal of motherland were thrown against the founder of the Iavnana charity fund, opera singer Paata Burchuladze and many people associated with him. The reason was again the participation of the world-famous bass in a charitable concert in Moscow.
Besides, the anger of the part of the Georgian society was aroused by Nani Bregvadze's performance at the birthday of a famous Russian politician, a native of Tbilisi Evgeniy Primakov. The "immoral" behavior of the singer was mentioned by all the Georgian TV companies and even some of the experts.
Ramishvili referred to Bregvadze and the rest of the Georgian singers acting in Russia as to "talentless" ones. He held up Vakhtang Kikabidze, who has grown old and angry with Russia, as an example. "I do not understand why traitors and talentless people are so much appreciated in Russia unless Russia needs them for some purpose. Oh yes, it needs them to fight against us. It would be better for them if they stopped their anti-American agitation", - Director of the Institute for Freedom believes.
Let us give him proper respect: indeed, he is worth the money the bosses pay him, although his activity does not always agree with Georgia's interests.
The most furious accusations were thrown at Tina Kandelaki who is sure that her photographs in men's magazines perfectly agree with her being a children's quiz-master and her work in the Public Chamber of Russia. Ramishvili says that her success and career are attributed to prostitution. "Kandelaki is a prostitute. She does not deserve a better word", - he stated.
