Guilty Tbilisi is never at ease

2011-02-24 21:13

Moscow's position on the matter was clearly voiced by member of National Anti-Terroristic Committee, First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Alexander Torshin: "I support the opinion of the president of Kabardino-Balkaria Kanokov that all of it was backed by some neighbouring states' special services. It is no secret that many bases of the North-Caucasian bandits and outcasts are located in the territory of Georgia. No one is making some big secret of it. The large number of refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia is a favourable environment for the bandits in the North Caucasus. Besides, those people that are dreaming of supremacy in the Caucasus are in the Georgian territory".

It is well-known that Mikheil Saakashvili does not try to hide his pan-Caucasian ambitions. Destabilization in the Russian North Caucasus plays into his hands in the first place, so a conclusion about Tbilisi's involvement in the recent events in Kabardino-Balkaria is quite natural. It is not without reason that Alexander Torshin remembered Dmitry Sanakoyev who has settled in the Georgian capital. "These people do not need instructions, - they know the area, they know the mountaineers' customs and they know what, when and how. I am sure they were involved in it", - Russian parliamentary stated. Torshin's assuredness is going to be shared by everyone if Saakashvili and his accomplices do not stop their provocative actions.
