After the events in Dzhioeva's staff building and her hospitalization, the ex-presidential candidate in South Ossetia decided to appeal personally to acting president Vadim Brovtsev with demand to explain the assault of her campaign staff on February 9. In the statement, Dzhioeva also says of intending to bring all the organizers of the assault of her campaign staff to the court, even to the European Court.
According to Kavkaz-uzel.ru, in the statement, Dzhioeva appeals directly to Brovtsev asking of "who and for what reasons" has given the order to storm her campaign staff and "to humiliate" her supporters. She also demanded to explain the reasons for the detention and beating of his supporters, and accused representatives of the Republican Prosecutor's Office of violating human rights.
In addition, in her statement, Dzhioeva, "as a citizen of Russia", claims that she will bring all those responsible for this, including personally Brovtsev, "to the court in Russia, and if it will be necessary - in Strasbourg".
Recall, February 9, Alla Dzhioeva, who is refusing to recognize the court's decision cancelling the results of the second round of voting on November 27, 2011 and has appointed her inauguration as president of the republic on February 10, was hospitalized. According to official information, it happened after a visit of an investigator with subpoena for questioning in the Prosecutor General's Office. According to Dzhioeva's supporters, she had lost consciousness because of a strong impact in the head with a buttstock when about 200 officers of the riot police had stormed her campaign.
February 13, acting president of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev sent to Parliament a submission on the dismissal of General Procurator of the Republic Taimuraz Khugaev. As reported by Gazeta.ru, such a decision was made at a meeting of the Security Council. In addition, Brovtsev instructed the interdepartmental commission on security to check how effectively the Prosecutor General's Office was investigating the criminal cases. "We need to return to this issue again, we must rise above the issues of political bias and make weighted decision in the interest of peace and harmonious development of South Ossetia as a whole", Brovtsev explained. The date of consideration of the submission by the Parliament wasn't scheduled yet.
According to RIA.ru, the very Prosecutor General of South Ossetia, Teimuraz Khugaev, believes his resignation possible, but too inopportune, taking into account the complex political situation in the country.
