Who and why wanted to kill Abkhazian president?2012-04-20 12:30
Investigating of attempt on the President of Abkhazia continues. So far, its most visible outcome is two suicides and one attempt to commit suicide. Persons involved in this case do not want to talk, but prefer to commit suicide. Events that are taking place in the country will definitely become turning point in its history. But the most important question is why this attempt on president took place? Was it due to his controversies with big business, or it was a coup attempt which involved a variety of powers?
These days the country is living in a state of fear and panic. Everyone is discussing some incredible rumors, spread in the country. Yesterday's most popular rumor was about the arrest of former Interior Minister Leonid Dzyapsh-Ip, who is famous for at least the fact that during those months when he was a minister, he taught the nation to wear seat while driving a car. The rumor is not confirmed still.
Suicide of Almasbey Kchach shocked the people. He was a figure of higher level at the time of the first president Vladislav Ardzinba, and remained a very influential person. They say, the case of attempt on Ankvaba is being investigated flawlessly, and there is no leak from the interior law enforcement. Nevertheless, rumors of the arrest of Kchach appeared exactly when the first group of suspects was arrested. Generally, this time, rumors have an unexpected and terrible feature to come true. Kchach regularly went to the interrogations and didn't try to flee the country. But having seen dozens of armed security forces officers he took his own life.
40-year-old Timur Hutaba hanged himself on scraps of his own clothing in the pre-trial prison. And here we have another question: they arrested a living person, and now they return the corpse. Even if we ignore the version of "incitement to suicide" (it is unlikely in Abkhazia since it's not the North Caucasus), then at least the prison's security service hasn't saved the life of a very valuable man, who probably had much to say about the attempt on the president.
There could be another victim - Murtaz Sakania. They say he worked with Anzor Butba, who looks like the only organizer of the assassination so far. Sakania wanted to cut throat. Now he is treated, and at the same time giving testimony. If we do not take into account the version of the conspiracy, only one explanation is on the surface: two people - Ankvab's guards Remzik Tsugba and Tengiz Pandaria - were killed as a result of the assassination attempt on President of Abkhazia. They had children, families, friends and relatives. Now, when the names of those who could shoot and kill these people began to surface, relatives of the victims will retaliate. And it can be called a blood feud, or somehow else, but it seems that after the verdict a family war may break out.
Investigation is not over, but in fact, we now know why previous five attempts on Ankvab were not solved. They could be organized by different people for different reasons. But all of these people and all of these reasons were inside the country.
Until there was only one major figure in this case - Anzor Butba, it was possible to hope that the attempt was the result of a major conflict of the private entrepreneur with a president. But once a figure of Almasbey Kchach emerged in the case, the chances that it was a local conflict have significantly decreased. Though, currently there is no clear understanding of the possible Kchach' role in this process. Let us suppose that he was an accomplice - he could technically organize this attempt as a military man.
