On January 9 Georgia’s government first 2009 session was held with Mikheil Saakashvili stating that in spring large-scale construction would start in the country. Also the president was curious at the state of health of the Ministers and the officials.
The Charter is signed. Questions remain
On January 9 the Charter on strategic partnership between the USA and Georgia was signed in Washington. The treaty was endorsed by Georgia’s Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in the Treaty Room of the US Department of State.
