The Georgian Opposition is going to celebrate its anniversary, 2 month from the standoff beginning, by a new wave of protests: in front of the Parliament a demonstration will be held, then a peaceful march towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Main Procuracy. The opposition leaders, often criticized for their «indecision», intend to demonstrate to Vice State Secretary of the US for Europe and Eurasia Philip Gordon the grade of their dissatisfaction with the president. Saakashvili committed to attack and warned his opponents on possible consequences.
The Federation Council of Russia gave the floor to the Georgians and Russians
Several well-known public figures living in Moscow and Tbilisi have met with the Russian senators. Together they tried to find possible ways of settling the disputes and establishing further cooperation between the two countries in the context of social, economical, cultural and humanitarian development.
