Tskhinval is against the OSCE new office in Tbilisi
Special Representative of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Kharalampos Khristopulos has recently discussed the opportunity of opening the OSCE Georgian office in Tbilisi. As is known, this initiative was brought forward by the acting Chairperson of OSCE Dora Bakoyannis who insists upon continuing the organization activities in Georgia. However, the situation is unsatisfactory for the South-Ossetian party, in whose opinion, OSCE will not be able to maintain neutral position, having got an office in Georgia. Besides, it looks like the fears of Tskhnival are well-grounded.

Allies and infidels in Alla Dudaeva’s Caucasian game
Alla Dudaeva, an honorable guest to Georgia, the widow of the first Chechen president Jokhar Dudaev apologized to Georgians for the Chechens who had fought in South Ossetia. She called the Chechen soldiers of the Russian army “traitors” defining those who are fighting against the federal center as “allies”, “real Chechens”. It would be interesting to know who, in her opinion, fought against Tbilisian authorities in Abkhazia? “Traitors” or “real” ones? Who now kills rights defenders in Chechnya and authorities in Ingushetia? And who are Georgians to her – a brotherly nation or the “infidels” who can be used as a tool of revenge for her husband?

However, the significant event in Abkhazia’s life was clouded with two explosions in Gagra and Sukhum. Some people died. Meanwhile, versions have already appeared in the world informational space as to who would want to destabilize the situation in the region.
America recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia – so far, as a PR-community
Having obtained independence after the August war a year ago, Abkhazia and South Ossetia decided to adjust their image in the international arena. The main point is that the role of image-makers will be performed by the PR experts from the USA, which authorities promise never to recognize new geopolitical realities in the South Caucasus. Well, the Caucasian policy seems to be rather a delicate matter.
Russia-Georgia: the Patriarch’s prayers
The meeting of the heads of the Russian and Georgian Orthodox Churches is to take place at the end of this year. The church officers of both countries are making efforts to smooth down the conflict around South Ossetia and Abkhazia. However, the August war anniversary was marked by Patriarch Cyril and Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia the Second in an absolutely different manner. One of them referred to the war as to a tragedy of three Orthodox nations, while another has threatened the Ossetians and the Abkhazians with the divine scourge, which means they might disappear from the face of the earth.
