Tbilisi in search of a new strategy
The Georgian authorities started developing a new strategy in respect of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Not because the ruling regime was suddenly touched by the feeling of remorse for what was done in August 2008. Or, that it was suddenly struck by an idea that its policy in respect of the nearest neighbors leads to a deadlock. It’s just that the world community is getting free from the propaganda bonds and is capable of giving an adequate estimate of the situation in the South Caucasus, which has become possible due to Taglyavini’s report. The U.S. are also changing the focus of their policy in the region.
