Wild West in Georgia’s backcountry
Eye for eye or a dog's death for a dog are the obsolete principles Georgia still goes by. The government’s assurances that Sakartvelo has the world’s best police force hit against stony mistrust of common Georgians. If you want something to be done well, do it yourself, - people think ready to take up all activities including punishment of criminals. Who could have ever thought that of all Western laws the Georgian heart will prefer "the law of Wild West"!
Abkhazia and Russia to block the great heroin way
On December 4, Russian border guards stopped a foreign-made car trying to get from Georgia to Abkhazia, carrying drugs. A criminal case was opened by Abkhaz law-enforcement authorities. There were found 64 grams of drugs of the plant origin: that’s not the largest investigation with the most sensational results; still, it is carried out. Drug dealers have not yet got used to the fact that one can be caught barehanded at this frontier. It is open for any criminal actions but drug policemen know perfectly well about one of the main drug traffic routes running through Abkhazia.

Terrorist acts: what did Bakradze foresee?
The recent explosions in Tbilisi near the building of the Labour Party of Sakartvelo in Javakhishvili Street and near a shop in the district of Mukhiani have produced numerous versions as to the crime contractor and executor. As was expected, it was Chairman of the Georgian Parliament David Bakradze who was shrewder than the others: he said the explosions were arranged by some "external powers". Yesterday, Ministry of Interior notified the public of the crime being contracted by the Russian military. Mr. Bakradze’s keenness is astonishing; it looks like he was able to foresee the events.
