Georgian citizenship to one’s death
Getting Georgian citizenship is no problem. From now on, it is much difficult to be deprived of it on one’s own free will so as to become a national of another country. The parliament of the Caucasian republic decided to make amendments to the law "On citizenship". They will primarily cover those Georgians who have not undergone compulsory military training in Sakartvelo and will have to do duty to their motherland in other ways. For instance, they will have to bear the status of a Georgian citizen until they die. Thus, those who are looking forward to a bright future will no longer have the chance of dodging military service in the ranks of the Georgian army.
Georgia in search of "neutral" Ossetians and Abkhazians
Eka Tkeshelashvili, Georgia’s minister for reintegration has invented a new task for her ministry: to issue so-called neutral documents to citizens of Abkhazia and South Ossetia allowing them to travel freely around the world. Kokoyty is more considerate of Georgians than Tbilisi
President of South Ossetia Edward Kokoyty is back to considering the return of refugees to the republic. Still, fulfillment of this good intention can be postponed for a long time because of Tbilisi’s position. Tbilisi sees no good in return of refugees to places of their residence. They don’t want to lose their last trump card in this hopeless battle for reacquisition of South Ossetia for they will have to acknowledge there is no more "infringement of rights of Georgian population" if all this population lives tranquilly in the territory of the RSO.
