Virtual “Viking” on Saakashvili’s service
Last week, Saakashvili and his associates got another reason for joy: the long-awaited North-Atlantic Treaty Organization has at last arrived in the Georgian land. Vaziani military base near Tbilisi became center of the regular training in the context of Partnership for the Sake of Peace NATO program under a typical Caucasian name Viking-2011. 24 countries are taking part in the virtual army training based on simulation networks, so the Georgian top may again fantasize about its membership in the military alliance – at least, the virtual one.
President Arms First Formers
For the second consecutive day Michael Saakashvili has pleased the admirers of his verbal art. Yesterday in an interview the candid president told us about his self-satisfaction at night. Exclusively political, not bad thoughts! And today Mishiko amazed his audience with his stories about the “new Georgian politician”, the main weapon of Sakartvelo, the country’s true face, and with the news on where the last frontier of Georgian defense. Georgian Business Blamed for Negligence
Georgian Parliamentarians initiated the toughening of the Criminal Code article implying the punishment of managers for negligence. At the same time, it was quite an unpleasant surprise for the republic’s business community to see that who can be accountable for such offence is not just state officials but the managers of different enterprises and organizations. Such steps of the legislators do not conform at all to the attempts of the Georgian government to present the country as the leader in a fight against bureaucracy and private initiative enslaving. Khetaguri palmed off hydroelectric stations to “archenemy”
Georgian politicians do not feel embarrassed to stigmatize Russia when speaking at international forums. Nevertheless, they do not mind getting regular investments from the “bitter friend”. On April 1, Georgian Minister of Energy Alexander Khetaguri signed a memorandum of cooperation with RAO UES energy group of companies but only now he ventured to reveal the details of the agreements achieved. Naturally, the Georgian party will take advantage of transferring the right of privatization of Sakartvelo’s energy facilities to Russians. From now on, not only Georgian migrants but Georgia’s northern neighbours as well will work on increasing the republic’s state budget.
