Saakashvili to rear rabbits
Sakartvelo is ready to implement another crazy idea in the field of agriculture. After the failed undertaking with crocodiles and frogs, local farmers decided to rear rabbits. The furry animals are meant for pleasing the tourists’ stomachs. Rabbit meat - that’s what the tourists must come to Georgia for, as if lamb meat is not enough for them. But why does the government keep silent, though it suffered in due time because of Mikhail Saakashvili’s “rabbit” image? Does not this long-eared initiative imply “Moscow’s hand”?
Georgia’s Orthodox believers demand democracy
Georgian authorities apply best efforts to make their NATO and EU friends acknowledge the Transcaucasian republic as equal. For this purpose Tbilisi bureaucrats go against the only consolidating force of the Georgian society – the Orthodox church and personally Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II by adopting amendments to the Civil Code and assigning a legal status to all religious organizations in the country. In order to please the West, Georgian leaders demonstratively ignore massive protests against this religious reform. They simply don’t understand that real democracy is not serving the interests of “civilized” empires abroad, but do the will of Georgian people. Now the authorities get a chance to make amends by meeting demands of the Assembly of Orthodox Believers of Georgia.

Out of Baku into the fire
Mikhail Saakashvili has never been good at diplomatic nuances despite an orator’s artistry and talent that nature has bestowed on him. Unfortunately, the current Georgian leader lacks political merits. That is why he allows such conduct and statements that alienate the whole countries from him and his state. A bright example of such clumsy behavior is the Georgian president’s recent utterances in respect of “unity” of Baku and Tbilisi.
