Hey, genatsvale!2010-07-06 12:34
As opposition came to know, sexual minorities in Georgia are getting ready for the second attempt to assault Tbilisi. A gay parade in this "hypocrite" country, as they call it, is going to clear Georgians' consciousness blinded with traditions and religion. Meanwhile, in the opinion of such public members as director of House of Free Opinion Nana Devdariani, gays are trampling upon the majority's rights by demonstrating depravity.
Georgian society is evidently not ready for the extent of tolerance being next door to permissiveness, towards which it is pushed by foreign western organizations. The opposition attributes another attempt to arrange a gay parade to the initiative of the Soros Foundation department and Freedom Institute sponsored by it. Their mission implies reeducation of the Caucasians in a western manner. They engrain democracy, support capitalistic values and variegate the palette of public views with "blue", "pink" and even "brown" hues.
It is has been many times that the opposition spoke against the morally corrupting ideas promoted by those advanced institutions. This time, it was Sandro Bregadze, a representative of the oppositional Tavisupleba (Freedom) party who discharged anger upon them. He threatened to interfere by all means with the dishonor proudly called "gay parade". He believes "one cannot use these sick people for one's own purposes in order to obtain grants".
"Soros Foundation, Freedom Institute and many other non-governmental organizations get huge grants for the protection of homosexuals' rights but we are going to consider anyone who supports them as traitors of the Georgian people", - Bregadze stated.
It should be taken into account that Georgia is not just an orthodox country. The church takes a special position here confirmed by a concordat - an agreement signed with the state, and any encroachment upon the ecclesiastical law is characterized not only as encroachment upon morals but also as a crime.
Supporters of the gay parade say that it is non-democratic and out of date to prejudice the rights of sexual minorities. The more so as there is such things in Georgia as prostitution, harlotry, machos surrounded by dozens of women, and kekelkas (kekelka is a Tbilisian word for a naughty, simple-minded girl) with their "cousins".
But can all these facts, which are hidden and recognized deep inside oneself as a sin, be compared to a theatrical demonstration of gays? After all, blind, one-legged or other ill-fated people do not march in columns. Why would sexually abnormal people need to show themselves in public? Is not it the first sign of their mental illness?
