The strategic partnership treaty between the US and Georgia will be signed in Washington on January 9th . According to Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the signing ceremony, planned for January, 4th , was postponed a few days due to changes in Condoleezza Rice's schedule.

As it's widely known, Condoleezza Rice, the US Secretary of State, departed to the Middle East because of the deteriorated situation in that region.

The strategic partnership treaty between the USA and Georgia will be signed by Grigol Vashadze, the Foreign Minister of Georgia, and the US Secretary of State.

Grigol Vashadze, as well as Batu Kutelia, the new Georgian ambassador to the USA, have already arrived in Washington.
