Georgian administration does not intend to conduct early elections
2009-01-12 13:11Georgian administration does not intend to conduct early elections. "In the light of economic crisis every kopeck must go to the needs of population, not politicians", stated Gigi Ugulava, the Mayor of Tbilisi, in the air of Georgian First Channel, Regnum informs.
According to the Mayor, elections are luxury, and demand considerable means. Last year the elections were held twice, elections of local authorities are planned for 2010. In such conditions conducting additional elections is not justified.
As Ugulava explained, if the elections are set, some will still be dissatisfied.
"We will not our people be offended and will not turn into a squirrel running round in the cage ", he said.
