One third of Tskhinval is supplied with gas
2009-01-30 16:14Works on restoration of gas supplies to Tskhinval are continuing. Thirty per cent of the city can consume gas, said Alan Gabarayev, Energetika director.
"At present moment gas supplies are partially restored in the Northern, North-Western and South Western parts of Tskhinval. Our specialists continue gas pipes check in every house. A great number of pipe damages after Georgian aggression has been detected. Bit they are repaired soon as possible. Pipes were delivered as humanitarian aid, and we lack no material", the State Committee on Information and Press of South Ossetia quotes Gabarayev.
According to Energetika director, "within two weeks gas will be in every house of Tskhinval, then works on gas supplies restoration in the regions of South Ossetia will be conducted".
Let us remind that gas transit to South Ossetia via Georgia was resumed on January 25th , was interrupted for several hours because of the breakdown at the gas distributing station, but was fully resumed the same day.
