"Maestro" is free. For investing2011-12-06 21:36
"Let you belong to nobody" - it is simmilar to what said the general producer of one of two independent channels of Georgia Mamuka Glonti and resigned. The shadow of corruption, which fell on him, discredited the "Maestro TV". Manager of the channel, ex-Ambassador to Russia Erosi Kitsmarishili, who two years ago rescued the opposition media from death, stirred up its secret kitchen. Now they have found a new messiah - billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, and the old sponsor was written off.
"I'm leaving", said founder and general producer of "Maestro" Mamuka Glonti. This voluntary resignation is "an attempt to restore our honor".
A scandal, arranged by the manager Erosi Kitsmarishvili, defamed the good name of the TV company, which is eccentrically criticizing Saakashvili and his regime.
In the middle of last week, he invaded the building of the TV company, cut off the air and fired Mamuka Glonti and CEO Ilia Kikabidze. According to Kitsmarishvili, they had a double-entry bookkeeping and wasted two and a half million dollars for unkown things. But the worst is not even the peculation, but the fact that Glonti had negotiated with Bidzina Ivanishvili behind Erosi's back. And the oligarch, like a devil-the-box, confused the sponsors of "Maestro".
Kitsmarishvili's dissatisfaction is understandable. When TV channel was virtually bankrupt, it was saved by the management of the company "Rustavi Media" headed by the ex-ambassador. It has invested $ 4.5 million in the development of the channel. That time, there were optimists who believed that with such a leader, who in his time brought to power of Mikhail Saakashvili with the help of "Rustavi 2", "Maestro" will become the flagship of the new "anti-Rose" revolution.
But the hopes were dashed. Kitsmarishvili, as a member of the "Georgian party", wanted channel to work in his interests. The head of this organization is Irakli Okruashvili, former defense minister and now a political refugee. His dream is to overthrow his former ally Saakashvili. But he can't get back since his place in Georgia is in prison. And that's partly why Okruashvili loses his supporters in Georgia. Now, in connection with the scandal with the "Maestro", several people left the "Georgian party", among them - ex-Ombudsman Sozar Subari. He has confessed in his political sympathies to Bidzina Ivanishvili.
