A group named "Let's rebury Jaba Ioseliani off Pantheon!" has been arranged in the Facebook social network. Initiators of the group appeal to Nicoloz Rurua and Gigi Ugulava demanding to remove Ioseliani's remains from Didube Pantheon where he was buried next to famous people of art. They believe the leader of Mhedrioni military formation, whom many consider to be a criminal and murderer, should not sleep beside those who have left rich cultural heritage to the country.

Administrators of the Facebook group have published a letter appealing to Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Nicoloz Rurua and Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava. The initiators of the mentioned group demand that the remains of the founder and leader of Mhedrioni military formation be reburied off Didube Pantheon. "Jaba Ioseliani was buried there against the people's will, while being buried in Pantheon is a symbolic act for the society to show respect for the late. Here sleep those who can be an example for the young and it's not a proper place for criminals like Jaba Ioseliani", - the letter goes. One of the group participants, Georgi Chkheidze, says: "Rebury is too mild a word; in ancient Georgia such people were simply thrown from a rock without ceremonies".

Another anonymous author suggests deporting Ioseliani's remains from the country. "Such people should not sleep in the Georgian land at all", - the author is enraged. "Jaba was a thief and a second offender; he is up to his neck in the Georgians' blood, having robbed half of the Georgian population", - Madona Shalamberidze, another participant, is unable restrain her emotions.

Didube Pantheon of writers and people of art is the second great after Mtatsminda Pantheon. Here sleep such poets as Lado Asatiani, symbolist Paolo Iashvili, Terenti Graneli, town singer and poet Etim Gurdzhi, painters Nicoloz Shengelaya, Tamar Abakelia, David Kakabadze and Elena Akhvlediani; theatre and cinema actors Kote Maharadze, Akaki Bakradze, Sofiko Chiaureli, Vaso Godziashvili and author of the first Georgian opera "The Story of Shota Rustaveli" Dmitri Arakishvili. There are also tens of other sculptures and graphic artists, botanists and neurologists, public and cultural activists whose merit for Georgia is unquestionable. But the main point is that these are the people of flawless reputation who lived an unstained life. It is plain, clear and transparent. What would they say to a neighbourhood with Jaba Ioseliani who is often called a criminal and an assassin?
