Imedi was sold to Arabs
2009-02-25 17:23TV company and radio Imedi, as well as Technomedia company were sold to Rakin Georgia[Arab company], said Joseph Key, the owner of Imedi and Technomedia. Previously all the three companies belonged to businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili, who died suddenly in February 2008 in London.
Key sold Rakin Georgia 90 per cent of all shares, 10 per cent remain in his property - RosBalt. He explained his decision with the global economic crisis, which affected Georgian business as well. Imedi TV Channel will be given all the financial aid it will need to return the leading role it always had, Key assured.
Rakin Georgia is Georgia's greatest investor. It owns multisectoral business in the country, Poti port is its propriety as well.
