Vashadze: Georgia didn’t propose Russia to restore diplomatic relations
2009-03-04 14:12Tbilisi didn't offer Moscow to restore diplomatic relations, claimed Grigol Vashadze, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, at today's briefing - Interfax.
In this way the minister commented upon the statement of Konstantin Kosachyov, the Russian State Duma Committee for Foreign Relations chairman, on Moscow's readiness to start dialog with Tbilisi.
At the same time Vashadze mentioned that he hasn't heard the statement. He repeated that Georgia is ready for negotiations with Russia basing on the three principles: territorial integrity, recognition of sovereignty and independency of Georgia. The Minister added that if these principles are respected by the Russian side, there are no obstacles for the dialog.
