Saakashvili lost because of Merabishvili?2013-04-17 11:39
A former senior Interior Ministry official Dato Akhalaia, who is now on the international wanted list, brings serious charges against former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili. Akhalia blames Merabishvili for the fact that his lust for power has led to the defeat of "United National Movement" in the parliamentary election. The statement was published on the social network Facebook. Is this original or not?
Dato Akhalia has revealed the cause of the defeat of "United National Movement" in the parliamentary election. Former senior official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and brother of the former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia accuses the ex-Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili of all the "sins". Akhalia wrote that on the social network Facebook.
"I'm not in Georgia for seven months and I'm watching the painful processes taking place in our country," writes Akhalia. "I'm increasingly convinced that the cause of many ills that have recently hit Georgia is one man, and his name is Interior Minister. I have evidence that Merabishvili planned and carried out adventure in the Lopota Gorge, resulting in the death of Georgian soldiers, as well as Kistinians, after which relations with them sharply soured. This adventure was directed against my brother Bacho Akhalaia who was the head of the Interior Ministry at that time. Merabishvili also created footage of torture in Georgian prisons and sent these pictures abroad through the former head of counterintelligence Amiran Meskheli, which was also done in order to revenge my brother Bacho Akhalaia. But as a result these actions destroyed badly cracked image of the "National Movement" and played a decisive role in the defeat in the parliamentary election. Merabishvili wanted to settle accounts with Bacho and me, since he thought that the victory in the parliamentary election was guaranteed, but as a result, having believed in own power, Merabishvili has led our political team to devastating defeat in the election," Dato Akhalia says.
Akhalia also said that in the near future he was going to return to Georgia and give evidence of all of these facts. Since Dato Akhalia is internationally wanted, after his return to Georgia he will be immediately arrested.
