Saakashvili to meet with Rasmussen

Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, staying in New York with a visit, today will meet with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Secretary General of NATO. The sides intend to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation and a prospect of Georgia's joining NATO - Golos Rossii [Voice of Russia].

Previously Grigol Vashadze, the Foreign Minister of Georgia, also staying in the USA, claimed of the necessity to determine exact terms and stated that Georgia would be ready to join the Alliance in 2-3 years.

Previously Georgia times reported that that Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, and Grigol Vashadze, the Foreign Minister, are staying in the USA with a visit. They will participate in the 64th session of the UN General Assembly, the President of Georgia will deliver a speech.
