Russian and NATO FMs to discuss cooperation issues

At the meeting on December 4 in Brussels Russian and NATO FMs will debate on the "road map" for closer partnership.


It was stated by the North Atlantic Alliance's Spokesman James Appathurai, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him "NATO-Russia Council will be an important moment allowing discussion and, if possible, to agree on a roadmap for cooperation".

"Afghanistan and the manner in which Russia and NATO can collaborate on this matter will also be on the agenda", - the agency quotes the spokesman.

The parties are expected to discuss preparation for NATO SG Anders Fogh Rasmussen's visit to Moscow on December 15-17.

The alliance's spokesman remarked that joint review of 21st century threats and challenges will be also on the agenda of both the NATO-Russia Council and the Secretary General's visit.
