Georgia Preparing For Large-Scale Troops Reposition
2009-11-20 13:53Large-scale movements of troops, also around Tbilisi and Gori are planned in Georgia.
Related activities are scheduled for November 19-25, VZGLYAD reports.
Troops repositioning will be held as part of the country's armed forces restructuring.
The EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, now on track of the security situation in Caucasus, has already been informed on planned movements.
As the EUMM statement of November 19 reads, the mission undertakes to monitor these movements in accordance with the memorandum on information exchange between Georgian militaries and the EU mission on disposition of troops near Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
