Captors of train in Poland threat with suicide

Polish police will address the court of Zgorzelec [Polish town] for the sanction for arrest of 33 Chechens and Georgians, who several days ago captured Wroclaw- Dresden train.


Other refugees intend to strive for release of the detained and obtaining the right to get to Strasbourg. About 20 Chechens said journalists they would commit suicide in case their demands weren't complied with, Regnum reports citing to Gazeta Wyborcza.

This Tuesday refugees from Georgia and Russia [Chechnya and Ingushetia regions] broke into the train in Poland and decided to get to Strasbourg without tickets -to complain about poor conditions in Polish refugee camps.

They demanded the acceleration of process of granting them the official refugee status and better food. At the Polish-German border they were stopped and taken off the train. Lech Kaczynski, the President of Poland, demanded the Interior Ministry to provide him with comprehensive and objective information about condition of refugees in the country.
