Georgian Laborites are ready for dialog with Russia

The pro-opposition Labour Party of Georgia claimed ready to dialog with Russia.


Soso Shatberashvili, one of the leaders of the party, mentioned that "keys to salvation of Georgia are, unfortunately, laying in Moscow." "We do not rule out meetings with the Russian leaders, though such proposals haven't been received," he said - the VZGLYAD.

In the interview to the Versia [Georgian newspaper] Shateberashvili stated that in case of invitataion to Moscow the Laborites will raise the issue of "de-occupation." He added that his party members had sent statement on readiness for meetings with Russia long ago.

Several days ago ex-Speaker, leader of pro-opposition Democratic Movement-United Georgia party, Nino Burjanadze arrived in Moscow; yesterday she negotiated with PM Vladimir Putin.

Leader of pro-opposition Alliance for Georgia Irakli Alasania, was also invited to Moscow, yet it's unknown whether he would accept the invitation. Yet in February, at the conference for European security in Munich he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Previously Zurab Noghaideli, the ex-PM, leader of pro-opposition Movement for Just Georgia, visited Moscow.

The authorities of Georgia call opposition members, dialoging with Russia, traitors.
