His attorney at law, Georgi Tevzadze, yesterday visited Gamsakhurdia in Gldani's prison #5. According to his information, the defendant shifted to usual hunger strike "to be able to struggle against the injustice being executed against prisoners," - Kavkazski Uzel.

On June 7th Nana Kakabadze, the representative of Former Political Prisoners- For Human Rights NGO, noted that Tsotne's health condition was critical.

He started the infinite hunger strike on May 3rd , protesting against prison's administration treating inmates violently. Gamsakhurdia also demands establishment of a special council to monitor condition of prisoners in jails.

Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is accused of attempted murder of his neighbour, illegal purchase, possession and carrying a weapon.

David Bajelidze was operated and later testified. He said Tsotne Gamsakhurdia didn't shot at him.

The late President's son claimed he himself was attacked and hit unconscious, and he came to himself only in his house. The medical expertise confirmed it.

After the first arrest he was also charged of wounding Georgian water polo player Avtandil Maglakelidze in 1999, Tsotne Gamsakhurdia was released on September 18th 2008,after GEL 20 000 [appr.
