South Ossetia is ready to repel Georgia's attack
Erik Dudaity, the chairman of the South Ossetian parliamentary committee for defense and security said that in case of new aggressive actions from the side of Georgia South Ossetian structures are ready to repel it - Res.
It was his reaction to the statement of Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, who urged his high ranks to concentrate efforts on "total defense" and "de-occupation" of the country.
"Security and defense structures of South Ossetia, and units of our allies, deployed in the republic, clearly relies what a Georgian regime and its inadequate leader are capable of, and therefore I'd like to highlight that a sudden attack on peaceful localities, as it happened in August 2008, won't be repeated now," Dudaity said and added South Ossetian military are constantly monitoring the situation in the adjacent territory.
In his view, in case of another aggression the military and political damage to Georgia would be much more than two years ago.
