Tskhinval has no money for beautiful life

Tskhinval administration has to cut expenses considerably to clean up the city - RosBalt.

Residents have many ideas - erecting a memorial complex, construction of sports- and playgrounds, but they are not included in the budget.

"The recent two years were difficult for South Ossetia. The main task our republic faces is reconstruction of dwellings and economy. Because of the problems with financing the city administration has to snatch petty means for improvement of the city appearance," Gerasim Khugayev, the Mayor, explained.

Another problem is disposal of construction waste, as there's too much of it in the city.

"Besides, in the beginning of this year works on replacement of central underground communications of the city must have started. That's why we were nit allowed to do even patching of the road communications of the city. But it's end of summer, and these works haven't started yet. That's why we will clean up the streets with our scanty means, do the patching," the Mayor said.
