2010-09-07 11:55

A Student of Tbilisi University will work in London, in The Financial Times, Novosti-Gruzia reports.

She won a week of in-depth training in the famous media in 'Born in 89' contest, started one year ago among youth of the ex-Socialist camp countries on the initiative of the EBRD [European Bank for Reconstruction and Development].

Out of 600 works hers appeared to be the most impressive. The girl had to dwell on her present, feelings of the present-day youth, hardships it faces. The responses astonished the organizers.

Andrey Kurkov, the Ukrainian writer, shares that he couldn't believe how much negative and pessimism he came across in the works, but adds that after selection only constructive critique was left.

Yesterday the ceremony of awarding 6 finalists from Russia, Croatia, Ukraine, and Georgia was held in London's headquarters of the EBRD. Each of them received a money prize.
