Vera Kobalia wrote her “testament”
Vera Kobalia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, changed the rules of selling state property - GHN.
Now only the Minister [i.e Kobalia] and the Ministry have the right to manage the unsold territories. It reserved herself the right to use the unsold property on her consideration, and present it for sale in the period finds most proper.
Previously state property fell under the rule of 1 year regime, when tenders were held several times within a year if the property wasn't sold at the first attempt.
Experts believe these measures will allow luring more investors as in some cases businessmen would have to contact directly with the Ministry.
