President of Georgia talked to Hillary Clinton
The meeting of Mikheil Saakashvili and Hillary Clinton was held on the initiative of the American side, Trend reports citing to the press service of the Georgian leader. Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze and Representative of Georgia to the UN Alexander Lomaia also attended the meeting.
"One of the main issues was the discussion of the final meeting within the Charter of the Georgian-US strategic cooperation, to be held in Washington on October 6. A subsequent plan of cooperation will be discussed there," the presidential press service said.
Saakashvili presented a number of initiatives concerning education, economy and health care, able to intensify cooperation between the USA and Georgia.
The sides also focused on issue of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Saakashvili thanked the USA for supporting Georgia in its trouble in relations with Moscow.
