Releasing Georgian sailors now is impossible - deputy Foreign Minister
15 million dollars is a sum Somalian pirates demand for setting 15 captured Georgian sailors free, and it seems exorbitant to Nino Kalandadze, the deputy Foreign Minister - Novosti-Gruzia.
In her view, the ship owning company, now negotiating with pirates directly, won't be able to find the money.
"Only the owner of the ship contacts captors; we also have contact with him," she said and added that "at the present stage it concerns an impossible sum which the ship owner will surely be unable to pay."
Kalandadze says no more and doesn't specify whether the Foreign Ministry of Georgia plans to participate in ransoming its citizens.
