America granted Georgia freedom – diplomat
Giga Bokeria, the first deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia, expressed gratitude to the U.S. authorities for supporting Tbilisi course.
Bokeria highlighted the importance of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's statements on "territorial integrity" of Georgia - Trend.
He also noted that Charter on strategic partnership is an important tool in solving tasks the country faces.
The Georgian diplomat believes it to be a return into the free world.
A sitting in the framework of the Charter of strategic partnership between Georgia and the USA is being held in America. Among the participants: Georgian PM Nika Gilauri and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"The United States will not waver in its support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. That support is a core principle of our Charter on Strategic Partnership, and it is fundamental to our bilateral relationship," Clinton said at the joint press conference.
The Charter was signed on January 9th 2009 in Washington D.C.
