Georgia is moderately hungry
In Global Hunger Index 2010 Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan are listed as facing the "moderate" challenge of hunger - Novosti-Gruzia.
The rating of 122 possibly starving countries was done by the International Food Policy Research Institute. This UN organisation defines hunger as consumption of less than 1800 kilocalories a day. It also considers the number of people facing deficit of calories in consumed food; number of underweight children younger than 5; level of child mortality.
29 out of 122 countries [mostly located to the south from Sahara and in the south of Asian continent] are described as facing "extremely alarming" and "alarming" hunger challenges. Congo is the first in the list
