New Constitution of Georgia called “historical”
David Bakradze, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, said the adoption of a new Constitution can be called a "historical fact" - RosBalt.
He said the existing political model on the one side, doesn't protect from crises, and on the other - doesn't provide their settlement to the very end.
"Unless we change this model, I'm afraid the next president also wouldn't be able to finish the presidential term, - he noted. - These amendments serve this role - to create a reliable and stable system to favour political processes and economic development."
On October 1st the second reading of the draft new Constitution was finished. 125 MPs voted "for', and only 4 - "against."
