Targamadze: moving of roadblock from Perevi evokes optimism
Giorgi Targamadze, the leader of Christian-Democrats of Georgia, commented Russia's decision to move the roadblock from Perevi, a settlement of disputed belonging, located at the Georgian-Ossetian border.
This initiative of the Russian authorities evokes optimism in regard to the negotiations process in Geneva - GHN. "If in fact this decision is true, and will be followed by real actions, then, naturally, there will be a serious ground for optimism in the frames of a dialog, under the angle of involving international organisations. It will be a good basis for negotiations to bring specific results," he said.
In the course of Geneva Talks on security in Caucasus Grigory Karasin, the deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, announced of movement of the roadblock near Perevi settlement.
The roadblock is located at some distance from South Ossetia, in the disputed territory. The Georgian side insisted on moving it outside Perevi.
