Georgian consul to Austria recalled because of her son
Georgia recalled Tamar Kikvidze, its consul in Austria -Novosti-Gruzia.
No reasons were named officially, but a number of Georgian mass media reported that Kikvidze's son is suspected of stabbing a citizen of Austria with a knife, and recalling of the consul ensued.
Yet the Foreign Ministry of Georgia has no complaints about Kikvidze herself.
Nino Kalandadze, the deputy Foreign Minister, said "the consul was performing her professional obligations in Austria well, and she is an extraordinary consul. Though in the life of this diplomat there's still much to be paid attention to."
According to Kalandadze, inspection is being conducted, and the Foreign Ministry will wait for conclusion and make the decision.
