Yakobashvili: I know what Sarkozy was talking about
Temur Iakobashvili, the State Minister for Reintegration of Georgia, believes that in his recent statement Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France, meant signing a non-aggression treaty between Tbilisi and Moscow - RosBalt.
"Sarkozy said he would hail Georgian side's taking obligations on non-use of force, - he noted. - Our position on the issue is already known, and we've already taken these obligations in the framework of Medvedev-Sarkozy agreement."
Iakobashvili added the Georgian side is now ready to sign non-aggression treaty with Russia, but not with Abkhazia or South Ossetia.
Previously mass media reported that Sarkozy sees as necessary inking non-aggression treaty in regard to Abkhazia and South Ossetia by Georgia, and also insists on granting acess to the EU monitors to the both aforesaid regions.
