Ex-president of Ukraine can be imprisoned
Viktor Yushchenko, the ex-president of Ukraine, can become one of the suspects in a number of criminal cases over selling weapons to Georgia - RosBalt.
According to Valeriy Konovaluk, the chairman of the commission for investigation of arms supplies to Georgia, Yushchenko himself patronized all financial machinations connected with weaponry supplies to Georgia.
Konovalyuk's commission has data that arms at the cost of USD 2 bn were delivered. Yet income amounted only USD 200 mln.
Previously Andriy Kluyev, the first Vice- PM of Ukraine ruled out possible deterioration of relations of Ukraine and Russia because of the Georgian arms issue. He announced that Ukraine had no plan to supply arms to Georgia.
