Senator Lugar is discontent with tempo of negotiations
Senator Richard Lugar thinks the process of Geneva Talks on conflict settlement is going on quite slowly. He voiced his point of view to journalists of Georgian TV channels in Washington.
He called the process unsatisfactory, yet noted it's still going on.
The influential senator noted that Georgia and the USA had established close relations. He underlined in the recent 6 months he had talked to Mikheil Saakashvili several times, and called it the witness of the undiminishing interest to the republic from his side.
Lugar didn't dwell upon details of negotiations between Moscow and Tbilisi, but noted they were going on intensively.
