Population to support Prime-Minister Saakashvili
More than one half of the population of Georgia [56%, to be precise] agree to have Mikheil Saakashvili at Prime-Minister's position after expiration of the second presidential term in 2013 - Interfax.
The survey was held by the International Republican Institute [IRI] from September 27th to October 7th, with 1 500 residents of the republic, and was published on October 28th.
It was also revealed that the governing party, United National Movement, headed by Saakashvili, is supported by only 42%, and only 22% support other parties.
Yet Georgian opposition believes the survey was ordered by Saakashvili and his closer circles. IRI systematically conducts surveys on order of U.S. government and USAID. Usually opposition doesn't trust its results.
