Tbilisi is ready to sign non-aggression pact only with Russia
Georgia is ready to sign non-aggression pact only with Russia, stated Temur Iakobashvili, the State Minister for Reintegration Issues of Georgia - RosBalt.
He explained signing such treaties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia would be indirect recognition of their independency.
Not so long ago Iakobashvili underlined Nicolas Sarcozy meant signing non-aggression teary between Tbilisi and Moscow.
"Sarkozy said he would hail the fact if Georgian side takes responsibilities for non-use of force, - he noted. - Our position on the issue is already known, and we've already taken these responsibilities in the framework of Medvedev-Sarkozy agreement."
Previous messages said Nicolas Sarkozy considers necessary Georgia's signing an agreement on non-use of force towards Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and granting access to the territories of the aforesaid republics the EU monitors.
