Tbilisi can’t always save its illegal migrants
Foreign Ministry of Georgia calls on its citizens to stop attempts of illegal migration to other countries - Novosti-Gruzia.
The citizen of Georgia, detained in early September 2010 in a Egyptian town, killed a Bedouin when defending himself. This Georgian tried to get to Israel illegally via desert. His name isn't mentioned, on request of his family.
Nino Kalandadze, the deputy Foreign Minister, called on Georgians not to resort rot illegal crossing of borders. She added three more citizens of Georgia, who tried to get to Israel via Egyptian desert, are now missing.
"We give no guarantees we can always help our citizens in case of violations from their side, like in this case... And such illegal actions damage reputation of the country..." she stated.
