SMS scandal in Georgia
A new scandal in Georgia: Nana Kakabadze, the chairperson of Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights NGO received an SMS: "Pet, you know Kakabadze, the swollen opposition member? So, she came to me to rent an office, and what should I do?" - Rezonansi.
Kakabadze was actually trying to rent a new office for her organisation. The message was intended for Tsiskarishvili. The opposition activist thinks the owner of the building was asking permission from Petre Tsiskrishvili, the parliamentary majourity leader.
She replied to the message: "You are now in opposition to people. I've been fighting againt slaves like you since Soviet times and still fighting. Bear in mind that in result I'll win. I'm free in the stage of struggle and in decision. You and your likes are slaves of the authorities, and you've already shown the world what you are like in struggle."
Kakabadze intends to present the text to international organisations and inform everyone of the obstacles authorities create to NGOs in renting offices.
