Gilauri noted “feminisation” of the government
Nikoloz Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia, noted that after appointment of Eka Tkeshelashvili the State Minister for Reintegration, women deal the most complicated directions in the government.
"Now there are three women in the Cabinet. It turned out that we trusted the most complicated ministries to women: ministries for reintegration, economy, and penitentiary," Gilauri said - Novosti- Gruzia.
Eka Tkeshelashvili was appointed when her predecessor Temur Iakobashvili was appointed the ambassador of Georgia to the USA. She also was granted authority of the Vice Prime Minister.
The two other women in the government are Veronika Kobalia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, the Minister for Penitentiary, Probation, and Legal Assistance.
