Expert: Tbilisi provides support to Umarov and other terrorists2011-02-08 16:53
Georgia provides support to the terrorists acting in the North Caucasus. This was stated by Russian political expert, President of Scientific Society of Caucasian experts, Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander Krylov.gt-en-newsitem-inside
According to the expert, Georgia plays the role of a reliable rear area for bandit underground and provides its territory for arranging material support channels for terrorists. "Georgia acts as an information tribune for terrorist powers", - Krylov is cited by Nakanune.RU.
In Alexander Krylov's opinion, one of the terrorist leaders Doku Umarov enjoys support of the Georgian government. "It is notable that the First Caucasian Channel started operating since January; it covers the territory of Georgia and is sponsored by Georgia or some external sources and Umarov is one of its leaders making his statements there. At least, there were such statements in the previous channel version offered to the wide audience. Of course, such position causes an easily predictable reaction on the part of the Russian government. None of the countries affords such things", - Krylov supposes.
He also harshly criticized the statements made by President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili concerning the terrorist act in the Russian airport of Domodedovo. "Though the terrorist act caused unanimous response in the world and all the leading states spoke out against terrorism and supported Russia, the only exclusion was the speech delivered by Georgian president who actually supported this terrorist act because he accused Russia of being guilty of its own problems and of being blown-up", - Krylov underlined.
"He even called Russia a "crocodile" constituting danger to the surrounding states. It resembles the dancing of Palestine teenagers after the explosion of the Twin Towers", - political expert added.
Let us remind you that during an interview given by Mikheil Saakashvili on the air of the First Caucasian Channel, Georgian president stated that the terrorist act in Domodedovo was possible because of Russia's ruining policy in the Caucasus.
An explosion at the airport of Domodedovo happened on January 24. The explosion arranged by a suicide bomber resulted in the death of 35 people. Over 120 received wounds of varying severity. One of these days, a statement of one of the leaders of the terrorist underground in the North Caucasus Doku Umarov was disseminated in the Internet where he assumed responsibility for the terrorist act.
