Georgian minister of agriculture loves pigs
2011-03-24 13:04Georgian minister of agriculture Bakur Kvezereli informs that his ministry wants to pay special attention to pig breeding.
Kvezereli emphasizes, as Business Georgia reports, that the ministry intends reduce the country's dependence on meat imports. Presently, he claims, it's 46%.
Pig breeding must have serious support to replace imports completely", - the minister added.
It will be remembered that Bakur Kvezereli has already stated that pig breeding will become one of the ministry's priorities. "This sector has certain problems. Our goal is to develop farms and find a big investor as well", - he said during a visit to a small pig farm in Martkopi.
