Georgia transferred one million dollars to Japan

15078.jpegGeorgia transferred on million dollars to Japan that has suffered from a natural and technogenic catastrophes. This was reported by Novosti-Georgia with reference to the materials provided by the Georgian MFA's press service. The money was sent via the Japanese Department of the International Red Cross.


Today, there was held a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Jalagania and Japanese Ambassador Masayoshi Kamohara. "During the meeting, the parties discussed the relations of the two countries, as well as the situation in Japan after an earthquake on March 11", - goes MFA's statement. It is also underlined that Georgia is ready to send 45 tons of drinking water to Japan and even a rescue team in case of necessity. Georgian government also prepared a humanitarian freight to be sent to Japan that cannot be so far received because of the technical problems.
