As was reported by GHN, MIA and Bank of Georgia have signed a memorandum of cooperation implying the construction of dwellings for the officers of the administration. The memorandum was signed by Minister of Interior Vano Merabishvili and representatives of Bank of Georgia. According to the document, Bank of Georgia will extend a credit to police officers for 10 years at the rate of 10 percent per annum.

A tender for a construction company that will build apartments for 200 MIA officers will be announced soon. According to Merabishvili, the apartments will be given to the most successful and deserving policemen. "I hope they will get their apartments in the shortest time possible. We want to make it a tradition that the construction should not last for years but a new building should be built within 8-9 months", - head of MIA underlined.
